The Williams Trophy is always a well attended event, and this year was no different. On Sunday, Matt Owen finished top of the leaderboard to win the second major of the season at Willow Valley with a superb score of 43 points. Neil Emery was runner up with a very respectable result of 40 points with third place going to up and coming junior member Habib Khan with a steady 38 points.
The previous day seen the usual Saturday Stableford take place. Past captain John Rhodes took first place in division one with a battling 35 points. Runner up to John was Janet Tedstone with 34 points. The second division turned out to have all the high points totals with Alan Hudson the winner on 43 points. Steve Palk was runner up by a single point on 42.
Sean Moyser takes the early lead in the Order of Merit after two events. As always, thanks to everyone for participating over the weekend.
